Felony court from Jan. 9

The following cases were among those heard Tuesday during a felony court session at the Davison County Public Safety Center in Mitchell.

• Mozell Parker, Jr., 39, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, pleaded not guilty to possession of a controlled substance, Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, possession of a controlled substance, meth — each punishable up to $10,000 fine and five years in prison; possession with intent to distribute 1 pound of marijuana or more, punishable up to $30,000 fine and 15 years in prison; possession of 1-10 pounds of marijuana, punishable up to $20,000 fine and 10 years in prison; and felony failure to appear punishable up to $4,000 fine and two years in prison; jury trial scheduled for April 10; status hearing for bond scheduled for Jan. 23.

• Merle Northrup, 47, of Mount Vernon, waived the 180-day rule to a speedy trial, and jury trial regarding four counts of grand theft has been set for March 26.

• Kristina Fischer, 37, of Sioux Falls, sentenced to six-year prison term, three years suspended, credit for three days served for distribution of a controlled substance; must pay court costs and fines of $2,100.90.

• Melissa Larvie, 29, of Mitchell, admitted to violating probation on a possession of a controlled substance conviction; status hearing set for Feb. 20.
