Kocer wins 100th match for SDSU
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. — South Dakota State senior and former Wagner Red Raider David Kocer won his 100th career match as the Jackrabbits won their 13th straight dual by beating West Virginia 24-9 on Sunday.
Kocer, wrestling at 174 pounds, posted a win by major decision over WVU's Parker VonEgidy 10-2. Kocer, who recently surpassed his brother Alex in wins at SDSU, became the 14th wrestler in program history to reach 100 career victories. Along with Cody Pack (114 wins from 2012-16), Kocer is the only grappler to accomplish the feat in the Division I era.
The No. 12-ranked Jackrabbits (13-2) remained unbeaten in Big 12 Conference duals with a 7-0 mark. SDSU hosts North Dakota State on Friday in Brookings.
